Bacon-Wrapped Turkey Hot Dogs
Ingredients
- 2 turkey hot dogs, Applegate Organics Uncured Turkey Hot Dog brand recommended
- 2 strips bacon
- 1/2 cup mixed bell peppers, chopped (red, orange, green)
- 1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped
- 2 fresh jalapeños, sliced
- 2 hot dog buns
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard, or as needed
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped, or as needed
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil, or as needed
Instructions

Roughly chop the mixed bell peppers and yellow onion. Slice the fresh jalapeños into rounds.

Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped bell peppers and yellow onion to the hot pan. Sauté until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized, about 7-10 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.

Take one turkey hot dog and wrap it tightly with one strip of bacon. Repeat for the second hot dog.

Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs in the same pan (or a clean one if preferred) over medium heat. Cook, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the hot dogs are heated through, about 8-10 minutes.
