Place a large pan or skillet on the stovetop over medium heat.

Add the butter to the pan and allow it to melt and bubble.

Add the whole garlic cloves to the melted butter.

Using a spatula or a wooden spoon, chop the garlic cloves directly in the pan as they cook. Continue to sauté until the garlic is lightly browned and fragrant.
