Wash all fruits thoroughly under cold running water. Pat them dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Cut larger fruits, such as watermelon and mango, into bite-sized pieces. Grapes can be kept whole or halved, depending on preference. Strawberries can be hulled and halved or quartered.

In a high-speed blender, combine all the chopped fruits, the ice, and the water. If using, add the granulated sugar now.

Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth, slushy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon or two more water until desired consistency is achieved.

Pour the iced fruit drink into individual serving glasses. Garnish each glass with a few drops of lemon juice, if desired, for a touch of brightness. Serve immediately.
