Add the frozen banana slices, peanut butter, protein powder, milk, and optional honey or maple syrup to a high-speed blender.

Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk, 1/4 cup at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

If you prefer a colder or thicker smoothie, add the ice cubes and blend again until smooth.

Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
