Preheat your oven to 315°F. Lightly grease and flour a 9x11 inch baking pan, or line with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Betty Crocker yellow cake mix, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Using an electric mixer or whisk, mix the ingredients thoroughly until a smooth batter is formed, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Pour the cake batter evenly into the prepared 9x11 inch pan.

Bake the cake in the preheated oven for approximately 37 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The cake should be golden brown and spring back when lightly touched.

While the cake is baking or cooling slightly, remove the lid and foil seal from the container of Betty Crocker Hershey chocolate icing. Microwave the icing for 20-25 seconds until it is warm and pourable. Be careful not to overheat.

Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, evenly pour the warm, microwaved chocolate icing over the top of the cake, spreading it gently to cover the surface.

Allow the icing to set slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious yellow cake with chocolate icing!
