Add the finely diced white onion to a hot pan. Cook the onion down until it becomes nice and golden, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the 93/7 lean ground beef to the pan with the cooked onions. Brown the beef thoroughly, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, about 8-10 minutes.

Once the beef is browned, remove it from the pan and set it aside in a bowl, leaving any rendered fat in the pan.

To the same pan, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, minced garlic, low sodium beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Bring the sauce to a simmer and then reduce the heat to low. Add the previously browned ground beef back into the pan with the sauce. Stir to combine and let it simmer gently for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

While the sauce is simmering, cook the Barilla Protein+ spaghetti according to package directions. Drain well.

Remove the bolognese sauce from the heat. Incorporate the non-fat Greek yogurt (or blended cottage cheese) into the beef and tomato sauce mixture. Mix thoroughly until the sauce becomes rich and creamy.

Serve the cooked spaghetti over the prepared bolognese sauce. Mix the pasta and sauce together until the pasta is fully coated.

Divide the high-protein beef bolognese into 4 servings. Top each serving with grated parmesan cheese and fresh parsley, if desired.
