Thinly slice the green onion, onion, and cabbage.

Heat some olive oil in a pan over low heat. Add the thinly sliced green onion and minced garlic, then sauté until fragrant.

Increase the heat to high. Add the sliced onion, cabbage, soy sauce, sugar, and oyster sauce to the pan. Stir-fry vigorously.

Continue cooking until the vegetables release some moisture and the mixture becomes slightly saucy. Create a well in the center of the stir-fry and crack an egg into it. Cook the egg to your desired doneness.

Serve the cabbage stir-fry over your choice of white rice, brown rice, or tofu. Garnish generously with sesame seeds before serving.
