Carefully remove the block of tofu from its packaging and drain any excess water. Slice the tofu into thick pieces, approximately 3/4 inch (1.5-2 cm) thick.

In a medium bowl, combine the water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, granulated sugar, salt, and sesame oil. Whisk or stir well with chopsticks until all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and the sugar and salt have dissolved.

Carefully arrange the sliced tofu pieces in a single layer at the bottom of your rice cooker pot.

Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the tofu in the rice cooker pot, ensuring each piece is coated.

Sprinkle half of the chopped green onions and half of the sliced red chilies (or diced red bell pepper) over the tofu in the rice cooker.

Close the lid of the rice cooker. Select the "Cook" function (or standard white rice setting if available). Cook for 30 minutes.

Once the cooking cycle is complete, open the rice cooker. The tofu should be smooth, tender, and have absorbed the flavors of the sauce.

Carefully transfer the cooked tofu and sauce to serving plates. Garnish with the remaining fresh green onions and red chilies (or red bell pepper) before serving hot.
