Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400-450°F).

Carefully peel back the husks from each ear of corn, leaving them attached at the base. Remove and discard any silk. You can also leave a few husks on for a rustic presentation and to help protect the kernels.

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, kosher salt, and black pepper. Brush the corn kernels generously with the butter mixture.

Place the buttered corn directly on the preheated grill grates. Grill for 10-15 minutes, turning every 3-4 minutes, until the kernels are tender and slightly charred in spots.

Remove the corn from the grill. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges for squeezing, if desired.
