Combine the avocado, unsweetened cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder, milk, ice cubes, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a blender.

Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. If the shake is too thick, add a little more milk; if it's too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.

Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
