Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, large eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed or a sturdy spoon until a thick dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.

If using, gently fold in the chocolate chips or sprinkles until just combined.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. A cookie scoop works well for uniform size.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set. The cookies may look slightly underdone in the middle, but they will firm up as they cool.
