Wash the 5 kiwis thoroughly under running water. Place them in a bowl.

Take one kiwi and cut it in half. Using a spoon, scoop out the green flesh from the cut kiwi halves into the bowl.

Peel the skin off the remaining kiwis using a knife. Cut the peeled kiwis into smaller pieces and add them to the bowl with the scooped kiwi flesh. Reserve some kiwi slices for garnish, if desired.

Wash the 3 cucumbers under running water.

Using a vegetable peeler, peel one of the cucumbers lengthwise to create long, thin strips. These strips will be used for garnish. Cut the remaining cucumbers into smaller pieces.

Wash a piece of ginger root. Peel the skin off the ginger and cut it into smaller pieces. Adjust the amount of ginger to your taste, or omit it entirely.

Using a knife, peel the skin off the 2 lemons (or limes). Cut the peeled lemons into smaller pieces. Reserve some lemon slices for garnish, if desired.

Transfer all the prepared kiwi, cucumber pieces, ginger, and lemon pieces into a blender.

Add enough water to the blender to cover the ingredients. Blend the mixture until it is smooth.

Pour the blended mixture into a large metal mixing bowl.

Place a fine-mesh sieve over another large mixing bowl. Pour the blended mixture through the sieve to strain out any pulp, using a spatula or spoon to press the liquid through.

Add granulated sugar to the strained juice, sweetening to taste. Stir the mixture well with a spoon until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Take a large beverage dispenser with a spigot. Place some of the reserved cucumber strips, kiwi slices, and lemon slices into the bottom of the dispenser.

Add ice to the dispenser. Pour the strained and sweetened kiwi cucumber mixture into the dispenser. Stir the contents of the dispenser with a long spoon and secure the lid.

To serve, fill a glass with ice. Add additional kiwi slices to the glass for aesthetics. Dispense the kiwi cucumber cooler from the large container into the glass. Garnish the drink with the reserved cucumber strips and insert a straw.
