Place the 6 bone-in chicken thighs into a large mixing bowl. If desired, remove the skin for a lower calorie option.

Add the olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, chili flakes, minced garlic, and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest to the chicken thighs in the bowl.

Squeeze the juice from the whole lemon over the chicken thighs and seasonings.

Using your hands, thoroughly mix all the ingredients until the chicken thighs are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
