In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast becomes foamy, indicating it's active.

Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix for about 1 minute until just combined.

Pour in the olive oil and knead the dough for 7 to 8 minutes, either by hand or with a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add additional flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until it is soft to the touch but not stiff.

While the dough is kneading, preheat your oven to 550°F, or as hot as your oven allows. If using a ceramic tile or pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating to ensure it gets very hot.

On a lightly floured surface, flatten the dough ball into a pizza round of your desired thickness and size.

Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over the dough round, leaving a small border for the crust. Top generously with mozzarella cheese.

Carefully transfer the pizza onto the hot tile/stone or a baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot and fresh.
