In a large bowl, combine the 1 kg chicken pieces, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons curd.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to coat the chicken pieces evenly.

Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.

Heat some oil in a pan. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the hot oil.

Fry the chicken until it turns golden brown on all sides. Remove the fried chicken from the pan and set it aside in a bowl.

In the same pan with the remaining oil, add the 2 chopped onions. Fry the onions until they turn golden brown.

Add the 10-12 cashews to the pan and fry for 1 minute.

Remove the fried onions and cashews from the pan and let them cool down. Once cooled, blend them into a fine paste using a blender, adding a little water as needed. Set aside.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a separate clean pan. Add the 2 chopped tomatoes to the hot oil.

Cook the tomatoes until they become soft. Remove the cooked tomatoes from the pan and let them cool down. Once cooled, blend them into a fine paste using a blender. Set aside.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a clean pan. Add 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste to the hot oil and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the prepared tomato paste to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, and 1 teaspoon salt to the pan.

Pour in 1/2 cup of water. Mix all the spices and water well with the tomato paste. Continue to cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.

Add the prepared onion cashew paste to the gravy and mix well to combine.

Add the fried chicken pieces to the gravy and mix gently to coat the chicken with the gravy.

Add another 1/2 cup of water to adjust the consistency. Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes on a low flame, allowing the flavors to meld and the chicken to tenderize.

Uncover and stir in 2 tablespoons fresh cream and 1 tablespoon kasoori methi. Mix gently.

Cook for another 2 minutes.

Garnish the Chicken Changezi with the 2-3 sliced green chilies and chopped fresh coriander. Serve hot.
