In a large mixing bowl, add the 500 grams of softened butter and 3/4 cup of caster sugar.

Using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Pour the 395 gram can of sweetened condensed milk into the creamed butter and sugar mixture.

Continue mixing with the electric mixer until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and smooth.

Add the 5 cups of self-raising flour to the mixture.

Begin mixing the flour into the wet ingredients using a spatula or spoon. Once partially combined, switch to kneading by hand until a soft, pliable dough forms.

Lightly flour a work surface. Transfer the dough onto the floured surface and use a rolling pin to roll it out to an even thickness of approximately 1 cm.

Use a round biscuit cutter to cut out individual biscuit shapes from the rolled-out dough.

Place the cut biscuit dough onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan-forced). Bake the biscuits for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking tray or a wire rack.
