In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of oil, 1 tablespoon of black pepper, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of water. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until the beef is well coated. Set aside to marinate while you prepare other ingredients.
