Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil for the noodles. While the water heats, prepare the sauce.

In a blender or food processor, combine the drained and rinsed butter beans, white miso paste, 1/4 cup of water, garlic powder, and sesame oil. Blend until completely smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add more water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.

Add the ramen noodles to the boiling water and cook according to package directions, typically 3-5 minutes, until al dente. Drain the noodles well.

Transfer the cooked noodles to a large bowl. Pour the silken butter bean and miso sauce over the noodles and toss gently to coat evenly.

Divide the noodles among serving bowls. Garnish with any desired optional toppings such as a fried egg, pickled cucumbers, stir-fried vegetables, a drizzle of chili oil, and sliced scallions.
