Place the thinly sliced flank steak into a medium bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well to ensure the beef is evenly coated with the marinade. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare other ingredients.

In a separate small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of water. Whisk all the sauce ingredients together until well combined and smooth.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lo mein noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the noodles and set aside.

While the noodles are cooking, steam or blanch the broccoli florets until tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the hot pan and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the same pan if needed. Add the cooked broccoli florets, cooked beef, and cooked lo mein noodles to the pan. Pour the prepared sauce over all the ingredients.

Stir-fry everything together for 2-3 minutes, tossing constantly, until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the noodles, beef, and broccoli.

Transfer the Beef & Broccoli Lo Mein to serving dishes. Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
