Boil the egg noodles according to package instructions, typically for 10 minutes, until al dente.

While the noodles are cooking, prepare the sauce in a large mixing bowl. Add 1 hefty tablespoon of peanut butter.

Add 2 teaspoons of soy sauce to the bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon of sesame oil to the bowl.

Add 2 teaspoons of gochujang to the bowl.

Add 2 teaspoons of chili oil to the bowl.

Mix all the sauce ingredients together thoroughly with a spoon or whisk until well combined and smooth.

Stir in sesame seeds and chopped nuts (such as cashews) to the sauce mixture, adjusting amounts to your preference.

Once the noodles are cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the noodle water. Drain the remaining water from the noodles.

Add the reserved 1/2 cup of noodle water to the sauce mixture and mix again to achieve the desired sauce consistency. Add more noodle water if a thinner sauce is preferred.

Add the cooked egg noodles to the bowl with the sauce.

Mix the noodles thoroughly with the sauce using chopsticks or tongs until they are fully coated. Serve immediately.
