Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced yellow onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Push the softened onions to one side of the pan. Add the ground Italian sausage to the other side. Break up the sausage with a spoon and cook until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat from the pan.

Once the sausage is cooked, stir it together with the onions. Season the mixture with Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir well to combine. If desired, reserve about 1/4 cup of this cooked sausage mixture for topping later.

Add the marinara sauce, 1/4 cup of the bacon crumbles, and 1/4 cup of the pepperoni slices to the skillet. Stir everything together until well combined and heated through.

Gently add the frozen cheese ravioli directly into the pan with the sauce and meat mixture. Stir carefully to ensure all the ravioli are coated in the sauce.

Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the ravioli and sauce. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of bacon crumbles and 1/4 cup of pepperoni slices over the cheese. If you reserved cooked Italian sausage from step 3, sprinkle it on top now.

Cover the skillet tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the ravioli are cooked through.

Carefully remove the foil. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving hot.
