Cut the bacon into small pieces. Place the bacon in a large pan over medium heat and cook until crispy. Remove the crispy bacon with a slotted spoon, reserving the rendered bacon fat in the pan.

Add the diced white onion to the pan with the bacon fat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is translucent and softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Return the cooked crispy bacon to the pan with the onions. Stir in the beef broth, granulated sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the liquid to slightly reduce. Set aside the bacon jam.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Use your hands to thoroughly mix the ingredients until well combined.

Lay an eggroll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place one slice of American cheese in the center of the wrapper. Top the cheese with about 2 tablespoons of the seasoned ground beef, shaping it into a small rectangle.

Add about 1 tablespoon of the prepared bacon jam on top of the beef. Fold the bottom corner of the eggroll wrapper over the filling. Fold in the left and right sides of the wrapper.

Roll the wrapper tightly from the bottom upwards to form an eggroll. Lightly brush the top corner of the wrapper with water to seal it completely. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Heat the cooking oil in a deep pot or Dutch oven to 350°F. Carefully place 2-3 eggrolls into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot.

Fry the eggrolls for 4-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, and the beef is cooked through. The internal temperature of the beef should reach 160°F.

Remove the fried eggrolls from the oil and place them on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to drain any excess oil. Repeat with the remaining eggrolls. Serve warm.
