Preheat your oven's broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.

Carefully slice the French or Italian loaf lengthwise through the center, creating two long, flat halves. Generously spread the softened salted butter over the cut surfaces of both bread halves.

Place the buttered bread halves, cut-side up, on the prepared baking sheet. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy. Watch carefully to prevent burning, as broilers can vary in intensity. Remove from the oven and set aside.

While the bread is broiling, preheat your oven to 375°F. Pour the marinara sauce into a clear glass baking dish (approximately 8x8 inches or similar size).

Unwrap the Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese and carefully place the round directly in the center of the marinara sauce in the baking dish.

Bake the dip in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the marinara is bubbly and the Boursin cheese is softened and slightly melted. The cheese should be warm and easily spreadable.

While the dip bakes, cut the broiled butter bread into smaller, dippable strips or pieces.

Once the dip is baked, remove it from the oven. Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the warm dip. Serve immediately with the crispy broiled butter bread for dipping.
