Peel and devein the shrimp. Season the shrimp with 2 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning.

Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for approximately 1–2 minutes per side, just until the shrimp becomes opaque. Once cooked, set the shrimp aside.

Using the same pan, remove any excess oil. Reduce the heat to medium. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, and cook until it becomes fragrant, which should take about 30 seconds. Next, add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.

Pour in 3/4 cup of broth and use a utensil to scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze it. Let it simmer for about 1 minute. Then, add 1 1/4 cups of all-purpose cream, 2 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning, and the optional 1/2 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Continue to simmer for 2–4 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened.

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. If a thicker consistency is desired, allow the sauce to simmer for a bit longer.

Return the previously cooked shrimp to the pan. Toss the shrimp to ensure they are fully coated in the sauce. Cook for about 1 minute until the shrimp is perfectly heated through. Turn off the heat, then add lemon juice to taste and chopped parsley for garnish.
