In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, granulated sugar, and instant dry yeast. Stir until the yeast is dissolved. If using active dry yeast, let it bloom for about 5 minutes until foamy.

Add the large egg, egg yolk, and melted and cooled unsalted butter to the milk mixture, then mix well to combine.

Add the all purpose flour, salt, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and optional onion powder to the wet ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms. If the dough is still too sticky, add a few tablespoons more all purpose flour, one at a time, until it's more manageable.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and passes the windowpane test (you should be able to stretch a small piece of dough thin enough to see light through it without it tearing).

Lightly grease a clean bowl. Transfer the kneaded dough to the greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the garlic butter filling. In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, a pinch of salt, minced garlic cloves, basil, oregano, and parsley. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.

Once the dough has doubled, gently punch it down. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a large rectangle.

Evenly spread the prepared garlic butter filling over the entire surface of the rolled-out dough.

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic butter filling.

Starting from one of the longer sides, tightly roll the dough into a log.

Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the rolled dough into 9 equal rolls.

Arrange the rolls in a 9-inch baking pan. Cover the pan with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise again for 30-45 minutes, or until visibly puffy.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

Bake the cheesy garlic rolls in the preheated oven for 23-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top and cooked through.

Once baked, remove the pan from the oven. Immediately brush the tops of the warm rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Serve warm and enjoy!
