Add the 250 grams of cottage cheese, 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 roughly chopped garlic clove, salt, and pepper to taste, and 1/4 cup of high protein milk (or water) into a blender cup.

Attach the blender blade to the cup and place it onto the blender base. Blend the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If needed, stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.

Place a stainless steel pan on the stovetop over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of olive oil to the pan. Once the butter is melted, pour the blended high protein Alfredo sauce into the pan.

Stir the sauce continuously with a spatula over medium heat until it warms through and thickens to a creamy consistency, about 3-5 minutes.

Stir in 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil into the sauce. If using, add your cooked protein of choice (such as chicken or shrimp) to the sauce and stir to combine.

Add the cooked penne pasta to the pan with the sauce. Stir the pasta and sauce together thoroughly until all the pasta is evenly coated.

Serve the pasta into bowls. Garnish with additional chopped fresh basil and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, if desired.
