Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easier cleanup.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, egg, plain breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce, dried onion flakes, cooked bacon pieces, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Using your hands (or a sturdy spoon), gently mix all the ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to a tough meatloaf.

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking sheet. Form it into a loaf shape, approximately 9 inches long by 5 inches wide, and about 2 1/2 inches high.

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, remove the meatloaf from the oven. Spread the remaining 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce evenly over the top of the meatloaf, creating a delicious glaze.

Return the glazed meatloaf to the oven and continue baking for another 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) when measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part.

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven. Loosely tent it with foil and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moist and flavorful meatloaf.

Slice the meatloaf into thick portions and serve warm.
