Preheat the oven to 350°F convection.

In a bowl, stir together all of the ingredients except for the chocolate chips, just until combined. This includes the melted and slightly cooled butter, packed light brown sugar, granulated sugar, pure vanilla extract, fine table salt, all purpose flour, baking soda, and milk.

Stir in the 2 heaping tablespoons of mini semi sweet chocolate chips into the dough mixture.

Make one big scoop of the cookie dough and place it on the center of a parchment lined sheet pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the cookie has spread out and has a deep golden brown color.

Allow the cookie to cool on the pan for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, use a spatula to carefully move the cookie to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, the cookie can be enjoyed. The edges should be crispy, the center will be chewy, and the flavor will be very buttery.
