Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the caramelized onions, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Unroll the thawed Trader Joe's puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.

Spread 1/4 tablespoon of Dijon mustard evenly over the center of each puff pastry square, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.

Divide the beef and onion mixture evenly among the four pastry squares, mounding it in the center. Top each with 1/4 cup of shredded Trader Joe's Unexpected Cheddar cheese.

Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Carefully remove the tartlets from the oven. Drizzle with Trader Joe's balsamic glaze and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, if desired. Serve warm.
