Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan, or line with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.

In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the large eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined. Stir in the shredded carrots.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

In a small bowl, prepare the cinnamon swirl by combining the light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted unsalted butter. Mix until it forms a thick paste.

Pour half of the carrot cake batter into the prepared loaf pan. Dollop half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.

Pour the remaining carrot cake batter over the swirled layer. Dollop the remaining cinnamon swirl mixture on top and swirl again.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top browns too quickly, you can loosely tent it with aluminum foil.

While the bread bakes, prepare the brown butter cream cheese glaze. In a small saucepan, melt the 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter turns a golden brown color and smells nutty. Be careful not to burn it. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

Slowly whisk the slightly cooled brown butter into the cream cheese mixture until the glaze is smooth and creamy. If the glaze is too thick, add a tiny bit more milk, 1/2 teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

Once the bread is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the bread is completely cool, drizzle generously with the brown butter cream cheese glaze. Slice and serve.
