Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.

Crush the Doritos into medium-sized pieces. Spread about half of the crushed Doritos evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spoon until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Add the taco seasoning to the browned ground beef and follow the packet directions for seasoning, usually involving a small amount of water and simmering until absorbed.

In a separate medium bowl, combine the can of cream of chicken soup, can of Rotel tomatoes (undrained), sour cream, and milk. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined into a smooth sauce.

Add the seasoned ground beef mixture to the creamy sauce mixture and stir until well combined.

Pour the ground beef and sauce mixture over the layer of Doritos in the baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

Sprinkle the 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the beef and sauce layer.

Top the cheese layer with the remaining crushed Doritos.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
