Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

If using crumbled sausage, cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease. If using patties, cook them according to package directions.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the large eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Pour the egg mixture into the same skillet (or a clean one) over medium-low heat. Scramble the eggs until just set but still moist, about 3-5 minutes. Do not overcook.

Carefully slice the entire package of King's Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.

Layer the cooked sausage evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Next, spread the scrambled eggs over the sausage. Top with the cheddar cheese slices or shredded cheese.

Place the top half of the rolls back over the cheese layer.

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and poppy seeds until well combined.

Pour and brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the sliders. Ensure all the tops are coated.

Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
