Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place the cherry tomatoes in an oven-safe baking dish.

Pour the olive oil over the tomatoes, and season with salt and black pepper. Toss until the tomatoes are well combined and coated.

Place the block of feta cheese in the middle of the baking dish, surrounded by the cherry tomatoes. Flip the feta a couple of times to coat it with the olive oil and seasoning from the tomatoes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the cherry tomatoes have burst and the feta cheese is melted and slightly golden.

While the tomatoes and feta are baking, cook the pasta in a pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid in case you'd like to toss it in later for desired consistency.

Immediately add the minced garlic and chopped fresh basil leaves to the hot cooked tomatoes and feta in the baking dish. Toss everything together vigorously to combine and break down the feta and tomatoes into a sauce.

Transfer the cooked pasta to the baking dish with the feta and tomato sauce. Toss to combine thoroughly, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.

Garnish with more fresh basil, as needed, and serve warm.
