Cut the ribeye or sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces. Season the steak pieces generously with salt and black pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add the seasoned steak to the hot pan and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the cooked steak from the pan and set aside.

While the steak is cooking or immediately after, bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta shells and cook according to package directions until al dente.

Before draining the pasta, reserve about 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water. Drain the remaining pasta and set aside.

In the same pan used for the steak, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Add the 5 cloves of minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and stir well. Add 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.

Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Continue stirring until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little of the reserved pasta water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.

Add the cooked pasta shells and the seared steak pieces back into the pan with the creamy garlic sauce.

Toss everything together until the pasta and steak are evenly coated in the sauce.

Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
