Preheat the oven to 325F. Grease and flour a 9x9 inch baking pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the large eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.

Stir in the vanilla extract and melted and cooled unsalted butter into the egg mixture.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Pour the batter into the prepared 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 325F for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, poke holes all over the top of the cake using a fork or skewer.

In a separate bowl, combine the condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until thoroughly combined.

Slowly pour the tres leches mixture evenly over the cooled, poked cake in the pan. Allow the cake to soak up all the liquid.

Once the milk is absorbed, cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to fully absorb the milks and chill.

In a cold bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla bean paste. Beat with an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form.

Spread the whipped cream evenly over the chilled tres leches cake.

Finish with a dash of cinnamon sprinkled over the top.

Slice and serve the tres leches cake chilled.
