Take 1 whole head of green cabbage. Cut the cabbage in half.
Using a cabbage shredder or similar tool, finely shred one half of the cabbage onto a wooden cutting board.

Gather the shredded cabbage and transfer it into a clear glass mixing bowl.

Sprinkle a generous amount of salt over the shredded cabbage.

Using clean hands, mix and massage the cabbage with the salt for a short period, about 2-3 minutes, until it starts to soften.

Squeeze handfuls of the cabbage to extract excess liquid, discarding the liquid. Transfer the squeezed cabbage back into the now empty glass bowl.

Pour the dark liquid seasoning (such as soy sauce) over the squeezed cabbage.

Add the finely minced garlic to the bowl with the cabbage and dark liquid seasoning.

Add red pepper flakes on top of the minced garlic.

Carefully pour the hot oil over the red pepper flakes and garlic. The oil should be hot enough to sizzle upon contact, releasing aromas.

Wearing a plastic glove, thoroughly mix all the ingredients in the bowl until well combined and the cabbage is evenly coated with the dressing.

Transfer the prepared spicy cabbage salad from the mixing bowl into a smaller, shallower glass serving dish.

The spicy cabbage salad is now ready to serve.
