Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk thoroughly until the mixture is well combined, light brown, and creamy.

Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture. Continue to whisk until these wet ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture appears smooth.

Add the all-purpose flour, salt, baking soda, corn starch, and ground cinnamon to the wet mixture. Use a spatula to mix all ingredients until a thick cookie dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the chocolate chips (use your heart to decide the amount!) into the cookie dough using the spatula until they are evenly distributed throughout.

Transfer the entire cookie dough into a small, round, oven-safe dish (such as a 4-inch ramekin). Gently press the dough down to fill the bottom of the dish. You can place a few additional chocolate chips on top for decoration, if desired.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft. The cookie will continue to cook slightly as it cools.

Carefully remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving directly from the dish with a spoon.
