Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Dice the sweet onion and bell pepper.

In a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat, cook the seasoned 1 pound of 80/20 ground chuck roast, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is fully browned. Drain any excess grease.

Add the diced sweet onion and bell pepper to the same pan with the cooked ground chuck roast. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables have softened.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the 2 cans of prepared baked beans.

To the beans, add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup (or agave nectar), 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard).

Pour in 1 cup of barbecue sauce. Stir all ingredients together until well combined.

Season the bean mixture to taste with BBQ seasonings, garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Add the cooked ground chuck roast, sautéed onions, and bell peppers to the bowl with the bean mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Pour the entire mixture into a baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until bubbly and heated through.

After the initial baking time, increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes to get a slightly caramelized top.

Carefully remove the baking dish from the oven. Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
