Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Place the whole wheel of brie cheese, still in its rind, into a cast iron skillet. No greasing is necessary.

Using a sharp knife, carefully score the top of the brie in a crosshatch pattern. Gently peel back small sections of the rind to expose parts of the cheese underneath.

Scatter 1 cup of fresh blackberries over and around the brie, reserving the remaining 1/2 cup for garnish.

Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the brie and blackberries.

Drizzle the balsamic vinegar primarily over the scored center of the brie and around the edges of the cheese.

Sprinkle the chopped walnuts generously over the cheese and berries.

Sprinkle the flaky salt evenly over the entire dish.

Place 3 sprigs of fresh thyme on top of the brie and its toppings.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and melted. If needed, you can extend baking time up to 20 minutes, checking periodically.

Once removed from the oven, garnish with the reserved 1/2 cup of fresh blackberries and the remaining 3 fresh thyme sprigs.

Serve immediately with sliced baguette for dipping.
