Prepare the Pikliz: In a large bowl, combine the sliced cabbage, julienned carrots, sliced red onion, sliced scotch bonnet peppers, and minced garlic.

In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, water, granulated sugar, salt, black peppercorns, and whole cloves. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar and salt dissolve. Remove from heat.

Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the vegetables in the bowl. Stir well to ensure all vegetables are coated. Let the pikliz cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or preferably overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.

Prepare the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with the fresh lime juice. Let sit for 5 minutes, then drain any excess liquid.

Add the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to the shrimp. Toss to coat evenly.

Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque and cooked through.

To serve, place the cooked shrimp on a platter or individual plates. Spoon a generous amount of the prepared pikliz over the shrimp. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
