Empty the frozen chips into the basket of your air fryer.

Set the air fryer to 200°C and cook the chips for 20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

While the chips are cooking, finely chop the onion, spring onion, red chilli, green chilli, and garlic. Keep them separate for now.

Heat the oil in a large wok or deep pan over medium-high heat. Add the finely chopped garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the chopped onion to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it begins to soften.

Next, add the chopped spring onion, red chilli, and green chilli to the wok. Continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still have a bite.

Season the aromatic mixture with salt, granulated sugar, white pepper, and Chinese 5 spice powder. Stir-fry for 1 minute to ensure the seasonings are well combined and fragrant.

Once the chips are cooked in the air fryer, carefully transfer them directly into the wok with the seasoned aromatic mixture.

Toss everything together thoroughly until the chips are evenly coated with the salt and chilli mixture. Serve immediately.
