Prepare the ginger by chopping it into small, manageable pieces. The finer the chop, the more flavor will be released.

Take the two limes and cut them into several sections. This will allow their juice and zest to infuse into the drink.

In a heatproof container or small pot, combine the chopped ginger, cut lime sections, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric.

Pour 1/2 liter of water over all the combined ingredients in the pot.

Place the pot on a stovetop over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat slightly and let it continue to boil for five minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Carefully strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a mug or serving pitcher, discarding the solids. Serve warm or chilled.
