Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tin with parchment paper, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides.

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Use a spatula to mix these dry ingredients thoroughly until well combined.

In a separate medium bowl, add the eggs, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, and milk. Whisk these wet ingredients together until they are well combined and the sugar has largely dissolved.

Pour the wet ingredients mixture into the bowl containing the dry ingredients. Mix well with a spatula or whisk until a smooth batter is formed, being careful not to overmix.

Pour the prepared cake batter evenly into the lined baking tin.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the batter in the baking tin.

Place the baking tin into the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Once baked, carefully remove the cake from the oven. Let it cool in the tin for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. This will take approximately 10-15 minutes.

Once cooled, cut the chocolate chip cake into slices and serve.
