In a large bowl, combine the flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt.

Add the lukewarm milk and egg to the dry ingredients. Knead the mixture until a rough dough begins to form.

Gradually knead in the 60 g of softened butter. Continue kneading the dough for 10 to 12 minutes, until it becomes smooth, soft, and elastic.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 60 to 90 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the garlic butter. In a separate bowl, mix the 200-250 g of softened butter with the finely grated or crushed garlic, chopped fresh parsley, chili flakes (to taste), and salt (to taste).

Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a large rectangular shape.

Evenly spread the prepared garlic butter over the entire surface of the rolled-out dough.

Generously sprinkle the grated mozzarella over the garlic butter layer.

Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into equal squares or strips.

Stack the cut dough pieces loosely on top of each other. Line a loaf tin with parchment paper, then carefully place the stacked pieces upright into the prepared loaf tin.

Cover the loaf tin and let the bread rise again for 25 to 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 180°C / 350°F. Bake the pull-apart bread for 30 to 40 minutes, or until it is golden brown and fully baked through.

If the top of the bread starts to brown too quickly, loosely cover it with aluminum foil and continue baking until done.

Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it rest in the tin for 5 to 10 minutes before pulling apart and serving warm.
