In a bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, honey, and soy sauce. Whisk until well combined.

Add the chicken thigh fillets to the bowl with the marinade. Massage the marinade into the chicken until all fillets are thoroughly coated.

Place the marinated chicken into the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd it. Cook at 180°C for 12–15 minutes.

Check the chicken for doneness; it should be cooked through and have caramelised edges. If not, continue cooking for a few more minutes.

When the chicken is almost cooked (around the 10-13 minute mark of the initial cooking time), open the air fryer and sprinkle the sesame seeds evenly over the chicken.

Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for a final 2 minutes to toast the sesame seeds and finish cooking.

Remove the cooked chicken from the air fryer. Slice it into desired pieces and serve immediately with your preferred side dishes, such as rice or a fresh salad.
