Preheat your oven to 180°C.

In a medium bowl, mash the ripe banana until it is smooth.

Add the self-rising flour and dairy-free milk to the mashed banana in the bowl.

Mix the ingredients with a spatula until a dough begins to form. Briefly knead the dough by hand in the bowl until all ingredients are well combined.

Lightly dust a clean work surface with flour, then transfer the dough onto it.

Gently knead the dough a few times, folding it over itself approximately 3 to 4 times.

Flatten the dough into a circular shape, about 1 inch thick.

Using a knife, cut the dough circle into 6 triangular pieces. First, cut the circle in half, then cut each half into three triangles.

Place the cut scone triangles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Let the scones cool down on the baking sheet or a wire rack after baking.

Optionally, drizzle with maple syrup or melted chocolate before serving.
