Chop the enoki mushrooms into small pieces. Cut the aburaage (thin fried tofu) into small cubes. Chop the spring onions.

Place the 200 grams of miso paste into a bowl. Add the chopped enoki mushrooms, cut aburaage, dried wakame, chopped spring onions, and 1/2 tablespoon of dashi powder (if using) to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl very well until fully combined.

Divide the mixture into approximately 15 equal portions, placing each portion into the compartments of an ice cube tray.

Transfer the filled ice cube tray into a freezer bag. Freeze the portions for at least 1 hour, or until solid. The frozen portions can be stored for up to 1 month.

To make miso soup, take one frozen miso stock cube and place it into a mug.

Pour hot water over the frozen miso cube and stir until the miso paste and other ingredients are fully dissolved and combined, forming a hot miso soup.
