Allow 1 sheet of puff pastry to sit out at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to thaw slightly, making it easier to work with.

Roll out the thawed puff pastry dough lightly on a clean surface.

Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the rolled-out pastry into 12 strips, each approximately 3 inches long.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.

Line the air fryer basket with a piece of parchment paper cut to fit the bottom. This prevents sticking and makes cleanup easier.

Arrange 6 of the puff pastry strips in a single layer in the prepared air fryer basket, ensuring they are spaced out to allow for even cooking.

Cook the pastry strips in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and puffed.

Once cooked, carefully remove the churro sticks from the air fryer and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil. Set aside.

While the first batch cooks, prepare the cinnamon sugar coating. In a gallon-sized Ziploc bag, combine the 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.

Seal the bag and shake it well to thoroughly mix the sugar and cinnamon.

Place the 6 cooked churro sticks from the first batch into the Ziploc bag with the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Seal the bag and gently toss until the churros are completely coated with the cinnamon sugar.

Repeat steps 6 through 8 for the remaining 6 puff pastry strips. Once cooked, repeat steps 11 and 12 to coat the second batch of churros.

Serve the puff pastry churro sticks immediately. Enjoy them as is, or with strawberry topping or Nutella for dipping.
