Cook the 275g uncooked long grain rice according to the package directions.

Mince the 2 cloves of garlic. Finely dice the 1/2 red onion. Thinly slice the 3 small chillis. Slice the 1 spring onion, separating the white parts from the green parts.

In a small bowl, combine the 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 2 tablespoons light soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice. Stir all ingredients together until they are well combined.

Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the 500g chicken mince to the hot pan. Break up the chicken with a spoon and cook until it is browned and cooked through, ensuring no pink remains.

Add the diced 1/2 red onion and minced 2 cloves of garlic to the pan with the cooked chicken. Sauté for a few minutes until the onion is softened and fragrant.

Stir in the sliced 3 small chillis and the white parts of the 1 spring onion. Continue to cook for 1-2 minutes.

Incorporate the 300g green beans into the pan. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the beans are vibrant green and tender-crisp.

Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the pan. Stir thoroughly to ensure everything is evenly coated. Allow the mixture to simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.

In a separate small, dry pan, toast the 1 tablespoon black & white sesame seeds over medium heat. Stir constantly until the seeds are fragrant and lightly golden.

Remove the toasted sesame seeds from the heat and immediately stir in the 1 tablespoon honey until the seeds are coated.

Serve the Sesame Ground Chicken with Green Beans hot, spooned over the freshly cooked long grain rice.

Finish the dish by sprinkling the honey-coated sesame seeds and the green parts of the 1 spring onion over each serving.
