In a large mixing bowl, combine the roughly chopped shrimp, roughly chopped imitation crab (or real crab), and chopped green onions.

Add the egg whites, mayonnaise, ground black pepper, granulated sugar, garlic salt, onion powder, and MSG to the bowl with the seafood mixture.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Ensure the seafood and seasonings are evenly distributed.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the filling for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the mixture to firm up slightly.

While the filling chills, preheat your oven to 400°F. Prepare a baking pan by placing a cooling rack inside it, or line a baking rack with parchment paper.

Take your prepared garlic toast slices. Scoop a generous spoonful of the chilled seafood filling onto each slice of garlic toast, spreading it evenly across the surface. Be generous with the topping.

Lightly sprinkle paprika over the top of each assembled shrimp and crab toast for color and a hint of flavor.

Carefully place the prepared toasts onto the cooling rack set inside the baking pan, or directly onto the parchment-lined baking rack.

Bake on the middle rack of the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the topping is puffed, golden brown, and cooked through.

If you prefer a toastier result, you can add a few more minutes to the baking time, keeping a close eye on the toasts to prevent burning.

Remove from the oven and serve immediately as a delicious appetizer or game day finger food.
